CHECKLIST BEFORE LIVE MUSIC CAN THRIVE …..

Really obvious Common Sense points – you probably already know….but common sense ain’t that common….this is about quality food.

2. Provide Fantastic Food

LIVE MUSIC in a venue attracts PEOPLE THAT LIKE TO WATCH LIVE MUSIC.
QUALITY FOOD attracts EVERY KIND OF PUBLIC.

Not everyone digs LIVE MUSIC or even DRINKING or GAMING.
But EVERYONE Loves Quality Food.
People show up to eat
LIVE MUSIC can make them stay longer and SPEND MORE on…
Drinking & Gaming.

Every business from Apple , Toyota to the corner store only wants 3 things..
1. Existing customers to buy more
2. Existing customers to stay longer
3. New customers.

The fastest way to get new people to walk into your venue is this type of promo.
New Restaurant or New Bistro or New Menu or New Chef

Anyone will try a ‘new food option’ ONCE

If its OK they’ll come back.

The cheapest and fastest way to drive in customers to your bistro or restaurant for a ‘look’ is …
‘2 for 1 vouchers or buy one meal get one free’ on the back of local supermarket dockets and online.

Everyone loves the idea of free stuff, especially fantastic quality food.

If the food is ok they’ll stay and SPEND more $ on drinks and gaming.
IF the music is OK – they’ll stay longer…
AND COME BACK

Result – Existing customers spend more and stay longer and you get hundreds of new customers….who hopefully do the same.
Real example

The best story and example I’ve heard from a very successful Hotel group owner is this:
He specialises in buying Hotels that are run down in fairly working class areas. They are cheap because they are quiet and may have a bad reputation and dodgy history.
He knows he can turn that around 200%.

He puts on a great chef and a new menu even as the hotel is being renovated they still start with the new menu and 2 for 1 supermarket vouchers and outside signage.
The hotel is still a run down mess, renos going on stuff everywhere and new punters turn up in droves to have a look with their voucher in hand.

They get 1-200 new customers a week even with the venue in that state …who buy drinks and play pokies.

Its common sense right ? – But how much profit have you lost from average food and not cleverly attracting new customers?
