Winner of the ABC 1233Newcastle Music Awards Male Vocalist for 2009, Central Coast based singer songwriter Jason Hicks has cemented himself in the music scene as lead singer of originals band JAYWALKER as well as performing in covers acts End of August, Fairplay Duo and loop pedal act The Mixed Tape, selling over 7000 copies of his own music alone.

The live experience of Jason is vast, performing supports for a huge list of well known Australian acts such as The Whitlams, Diesel, Jon Stevens, Human Nature, Pete Murray, James Reyne and Jack Jones as well as solo support East Coast tours for Xavier Rudd and Billy Thorpe. Playing prominent venues such as The State Theatre and Metro Theatre in Sydney, he is a stand out act with his own voice and style.

Jason will always provide an atmosphere and professionalism well above his years and provides an eclectic mix of challenging vocal covers material from greats such as Doobie Brothers and Van Morrison to the more recent styles of Jeff Buckley, Kings of Leon and Jason Mraz. The songs are not just covered, more interpreted and passionately performed with a broad vocal appeal and range.

Jason performs many weddings as well as private parties and corporate functions.

Jasons duo played at our wedding and was an absolute standout! Having a day time wedding we wanted a mix of music to suit all of our guests, and that is exactly what we got. Jason was so helpful in tailoring the song choices to meet our needs and we were so happy with the outcome, but even we were blown away on the day by how perfect they were! We got endless comments, not only on the day but afterwards, about how great the music was and also how nice the guys were. They were obliging to some impromptu requests and were just lovely to have around. We wouldnt consider booking anyone else for another event! Thanks guys, you were such a great part of our day!
