A three-piece rock band and combo including three singers and very experienced musicians, the Anthem band (or Anthemband) offers a dynamic sound, spontaneity and rich harmonies.

Their songs range from the 60s classics of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks and Roy Orbison, to foot tapping country-rock favourites from John Fogerty, to some of the 70s favourites in The Doobie Brothers and The Police, to the very latest foot stomping numbers from Foo Fighters … not to forget the awesome 80s classics from Choir Boys, Cold Chisel, Crowded House and Angels. For Blues lovers, we’ve added some Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore and Jonny Lang classics.
Why the name “Anthem”? We do covers and like to sing many of the classics known as “rock anthems”, the type or genre of songs that encourage audiences to feel included in the moment of the gig, and (as often happens) yell out those well known song catch phrases such as “free me” or “am I ever going to see your face again?”.
Anthem is based in the Wollongong area and the South Coast, or the Illawarra as it is known in NSW Australia.
