One Big Mob was born out of a need to fill a gap in the current band landscape of the Central Coast and Newcastle regions. There is not enough grit shown and too much “same same” in the mix. One Big Mob brings a true rock and grunge tribute show, with songs people know and love, but with the true spirit and energy we all remember from the amazing artists of the 90s and 00s.
The makeup is a four piece from The Central Coast and Newcastle areas consisting of Brendan Eggins on vocals and rhythm guitar, Brendan Matheson on drums, Callan Ward on lead guitar and Steve Lake on bass. All have extensive backgrounds in live music with Brendan known for his drum playing with the Foo Fighters tribute show Something From Nothing and Steve on bass for the Queen tribute show We Are The Champions.
One Big Mob aim to be the most accurate and energetic representation of the diverse rock and grunge music of the 90s and 00s, covering classics from the more mellow bands such as Pearl Jam, heavier bands like Rage Against the Machine and everything in between (with no drop tuning in sight). A One Big Mob show will bring people back to the moment they saw their first rock band and remind them why they loved this great era of rock music.
