Street Party is an accomplished Sydney-based groove outfit specialising in authentic live retro funk, disco, rock, and pop for corporate events, weddings, and parties. If you want a great live band that gets you dancing, Street Party is the band for you.
Street Party is a retro-covers band. Based in Sydney’s northern suburbs, we play all the greatest funk, pop, soul, and rock covers. We’re focusing on danceable music that works in a pub as well as at the corporate Christmas party, wedding, or any other event where there is a need for great live music. Our emphasis is to create a versatile mix of your favourite music.
Lineup
Street Party have been playing together since 1999. The core of Street Party is five players, with the addition of guest players if required by the client.
Coming Soon: The WONDERFUNK Show: a celebration of Stevie Wonder’s music, coupled with the greatest funk, disco, and soul greats of the era.
For clients who want a bigger band, we can add professional saxophone players, full brass sections, and percussionists, depending on requirements. We can also bring in extra backup singers if required. This versatile approach allows us to add that little extra that makes us stand out from the rest.

Having previously played for me in Mosman, Street Party played Eastern Lounge at Roseville in May 2015, and had the dance floor pumping from the start. “Street Party” were an absolute hit at our party. You were described as “awesome”, “fantastic” and “excellent”. Our friends all have different favourite bands and your renditions pleased all of them ? from the Bee Gees to Billy Idol and the Pink Floyd fans were especially impressed.
