Wedding & Function Bands
FAQ re Sydney Wedding & Function Bands
How much do we need to spend?
We supply acts from $400 to $5000.
This is largely determined by your guest numbers.
Under 50 guests a Solo or Duo would be fine.
60- 80 guests consider a duo or trio.
120 guests or more a band is a good option.
60% of live wedding music in Australia is usually a versatile duo that can do ceremony and reception music.
How do we pay for the Act?
A $500 deposit paid to Crazy Horse to secure a booking then the balance is paid directly to the act on the night or a week prior to the booking.
What time to they need to set up?
For weddings & functions set up is always completed prior to guests arrival. Most acts like to allow 1-2 hours to set up.
How much room will they need?
From Solo – approx. 3 x 2m up to 10 x 6m for a big band.
What happens between the bands live performances?
All acts provide suitable break music from an ipod including an up tempo DJ dance set if requested.
Do we need to feed the act?
Entirely up to client discretion.
The usual thing is to provide a ‘service meal’ – a main meal.
Drinks?
Minimumly soft drinks. Alcohol up to client discretion.
How long will the act play for?
All Crazy Horse acts play for the entire reception – from entrees until the end. Usually 1-2 laid back dinner music sets – then 1-2 dance sets.
Do we get to speak to the act before the performance?
Absolutely – we encourage you to liaise with the act once a booking had been made. We issue you with guidelines of key questions to ask your act prior to performance – regarding song selection, exact dress standard to ensure everything is perfect for your function.
We can even source major touring acts!
If you are the corporate event planner for Toyota Australia wanting to book Jimmy Barnes for your Christmas Party or Vance Joy for a National Conference we can source these acts no problem. If their agents even took your phone call their asking price would be high. We have contacts directly with major touring agents so let us get you a price and organise full production for you!
